Probably this article can be alternatively titled “The Power of Redesign”. Well, in this case, the power became the ruin.

As you have mentioned, the Snapchat’s redesign was done to attract advertisers and increase revenue. It is unfortunate that even bigwigs like Snapchat forget the importance of users for their survival. I think if we design something that people love, revenue will generate automatically. The point is to show people what a design/application can do for them, not the other way round.

Hope Snapchat goes through another redesign…or should we call it “resurrection”?
